About the Recruitment:

The State Level Police Recruitment Board, Assam, has issued two employment notifications for the recruitment of 48 positions in various roles under the Director General of Civil Defence & Commandant General of Home Guards, Assam (DGCD & CGHG). Interested and eligible candidates can apply online.

Available Positions:

1. Assistant Deputy Controller, Civil Defence (Jr.)

   • Number of Posts: 1
   • Educational Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Arts, Science, or Commerce from a recognized university.
   • Other Qualifications:
     • Instructor Course Pass Certificate from National Civil Defence College, Nagpur/NDRF Academy, Nagpur.
     • Elementary Fire Service Training Pass Certificate or equivalent from a recognized institute.

2. Civil Defence Demonstrator / Wireless Operator

   • Number of Posts: 12
   • Educational Qualification: Minimum HSLC Passed from a Board recognized by the Government.
   • Other Qualifications:
     • Instructor Course Pass Certificate from National Civil Defence College, Nagpur/NDRF Academy, Nagpur.
     • Elementary Fire Service Training Pass Certificate or equivalent from a recognized institute.

3. Grade IV Staff

   • Number of Posts: 35
   • Educational Qualification: Minimum Class VIII passed from a recognized School or Institution. Maximum qualification can be HSSLC or Class XII from a recognized Board or Council.

Additional Requirements:

• Citizenship: Candidates must be Indian citizens and permanent residents of Assam.
• Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must be registered with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
• Local Language Proficiency: Candidates must be fluent in Assamese or any other State language.
• Age Limit:
  • Grade IV: 18 to 40 years as of 01-01-2023.
  • Other Posts: 21 to 40 years as of 01-01-2023.
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC/ MOBC: 3 years
