Eligibility Criteria for Cachar College Recruitment
Educational Qualification:
A good academic record as defined by the respective University, with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point scale where grading is used) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, are exempt from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment as Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in University/College/Institutions.
A relaxation of 5% may be provided, reducing the eligibility marks from 55% to 50% at the Master’s Level for SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities (PWD) categories. This relaxation is applicable only for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record.
A relaxation of 5% may be provided from 55% to 50% of marks to Ph.D. Degree holders who obtained their Master’s Degree prior to September 19, 1991.
The period taken by candidates to acquire M. Phil and Ph.D. Degrees shall not be considered as teaching/research experience for appointment to these positions.
Age Limit: Candidates should not exceed 38 years of age as of January 1, 2022, with relaxations of 10 years for PwD candidates, 5 years for SC/ST, and 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates.
Application Fee: Applicants must include a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 1,500/- (Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred only) along with their application. The fee should be paid via an A/c Payee Demand Draft drawn in favor of "PRINCIPAL, CACHAR COLLEGE," payable at "STATE BANK OF INDIA, SILCHAR BRANCH (IFSC Code: SBIN0000183 & Branch Code: 000183)."
